I wonder if the game will have a “Bard mode”? With the Bard (available right off the bat in the original Crypt), you don’t follow the beat at all. Instead, you “create your own beat”, which means that you can move anytime you want, and monsters will only move when you move.

Budgeting is how you end up with that sort of money... Is that really not blatantly obvious?

Just stick to eating cheetos on your couch, then.

That’s usually the issue for chefs. Poor quality, amateur photos taken without a flash on cell phone do not necessarily do their dishes justice. I wouldn’t want a grainy pic of a half shadowed plate of my best, $300 dish on Yelp either if I were the chef.

Right - and when it’s followed with a “but” and a statement that directly contradicts the claim, then it’s not a very convincing claim.

“...and I’m definitely not one of those annoying folks...”

And there are chefs who would strongly object to someone taking pictures specifically to try to recreate what they’ve made.

Can’t speak for Kevin’s sushi chef, but you see this in Japan sometimes even in cheap places. Space and seating is often limited and the chef has much more control over the rules in the shop. The rationale there is if you’re spending way too much time taking a photo, you’re:

Restaurant review photos.  I don’t take them, but I do view them.

When the fuck are you ever going to look at that picture of sushi you ate? You’re only taking that picture to brag on social media. Just eat your food and enjoy the goddamned moment. I don’t understand how people can live through an instagram filter.

And so my love-hate relationship with Jeff Bezos continues.

These aren’t nitpicks, they’re “tells” that the student has no clue what they’re writing about.

I teach college composition and I think I’m actually going to link to this article. As an instructor, particularly a writing instructor, it’s not nitpicking to correct your students when the techniques they use are wrong or sloppy. I absolutely do count my students off if they begin or end a paragraph/essay with a

Plagiarism: When grammar suddenly improves, albeit briefly, in a sea of crappy writing.

“It could always be worse” is a piss poor justification for not trying to make things better here. This country can pull together and stop Hitler, put a person on the moon, and invent the microwave but living up to the ideals we were founded on is too hard? Maybe you should go to another country and we can trade for

This is great. Fuck the national anthem. It is a celebration of slavery and was only made for wypipo.

I’m gonna be so salty when time travel is finally invented and I can’t go anywhere.
