I just stayed at the Kyoto location and while I was never there during free beer time, I will say that everything about my stay was very nice. The beds, bathrooms, and amenities were excellent. They even have bikes for rent.

I really was interested in the oi bell by Knight. Sad to read that it underperforms. I do have a generic $5 bell from my local bike shop that does the trick. Older people seem to know to move over instinctively when they hear it. I ride in a touristy area with a lot of pedestrians so it really helps.

I just thought of this today. Wish Nintendo had better 3rd party support. Since the Wii my experience with Nintendo consoles has been: new smash, new Zelda, new Mario kart, maybe a few other games and then, nothing.. GameCube and it’s predecessors were wonderful though..
