It’s wonderful to see the ire generated by my comments. People taking it personally, qualifying what they have and haven’t done. The reality is that these things are happening STILL! Whether you are doing it, personally, or not. We, as a whole, have to do more than financial benefit from racism and any other implicit

Sure! And, keep your heads buried...

I am a light tone and I am a Black American. I seriously doubt, if we’re being completely honest with ourselves, that no one has ever not thought or uttered a racial slur. Also, for those of you who haven’t lived or weren’t born to United States slave or slave decendants, you may not truly understand what has and is

The atrocity is the lie that caused the senseless murder. A painting of that by Ms. Dana may have been more reasonable for fame and fortune. Why not put those feelings on canvas?

No, the artist painted about the Black plight (rather atrocity resulting from a lying White woman and racist White community). That is what she maybe should have painted. The woman and/or the community - their rationale. Their expressions of the need to murder others because they are different. This, to me, seems to

I didn’t read all of the comments, but here’s an idea. For all the bleeding hearts white people who are so into our plights and causes, why not write books, draw and paint pictures and sculpt figures of the atrocities you bestow(ed) on all those you have harmed. Paint and present dragging us behind your trucks, draw

Thank you again for continuing to show how DUMB and ridiculous 45 is. Obviously his staff and constituents are dumber and more ridiculous to continue to defend him and his BS.

Isn’t it sad that people hate us, so want to be us? The envy and jealous are what perpetuate the bias and hatred. When we continue to rise and excel despite being held down physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, economically and financially yet stay strong spiritually I would think that the nonsense would stop.

Thanks so much for a clear understanding of what is happening. The nation wants to call us ‘angry Black women’ when in fact it should be ‘wise and vocal Black women’. Everyone else is afraid to speak pure, unadulterated facts. They have a mob mentality and think they will get something. Look what happened to the HBCUs.

I love your commentary, it’s so on point. The replies are dead on, too. Unfortunately, for the pass 40 years, the Republican party and presidents haven’t produced anything positive. They have done a lot of blaming, complaining and finger-pointing. And now, it’s been about some slick talking to get in the White House

For the life of me I can’t understand why Black folks keep looking for a handout from Whites. Even if they (Whites) make good on their offer, there are going to be contingencies. We really are going to have to: 1) band together (like they do, not matter what); putting differences aside long enough to build strength

I believe they thought that he would be their Great White Hope. Instead, he’s grabbing them by their *******. Ha! What wypipo won’t accept is whatever they do to try to hold back or hurt other people ultimately harms them far more.

I agree that Mr. Johnson earned his promotion. Mr. La Batard speaks of a young Magic who didn’t have the experience of public speaking or managing people then. Would he say that he is the 20-something radio broadcaster he was or would he want us to believe that he has evolved to be a more finesse broadcaster?

I agree that no one should be disrespected or called out of their name just because we disagree with their attitudes, behaviors or personalities. I also don’t understand why we are so hyper-critical of his business style. It’s how he has made billions (according to him).

So many people living a lie (alternate fact) that they wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped them in the face. Oh, yeah, it did (our current president and administration). Masochists, they’re all masochist.

Hooray for Larry Wilmore!

Can only pray for idiots, only God and Jesus can save him from himself. The rest of us just have to steer clear of him and his kind, because there are many more like him. It’s called self-hatred, low self-esteem and delusional.

More burying your heads in the sand and looking for touchy-feely, feel good television. This show is probably more reality TV than the reality shows. At least the show deals with real issues in a realistic way. Cancer, obesity, racism, addiction, love, uncertainty, death, fear - things that happen in everyday life.

At least Mr. Bennett didn’t lie or make an excuse about not attending. I can respect anyone, especially a Black man, who is strong in their convictions and don’t or won’t sell out for money or perceived prestige, power or titles.

Maxine Waters represents and lived in areas of Los Angeles that aren’t ‘one of the safer districts in the country’. So, to compare, when has any of the billionaire class lived in ‘at risk’ areas when they were at risk?
