I guess Transformers' success is purely brand name. People might complain about sequels and remakes and shit but even moreso there seems to be a disdain towards anything new (see: "90s kids" and I guess their '80s equivalents in the case of Transformers).

Guessing he'll finally get it greenlit when his and Charlie Kaufman's Slaughterhouse Five sweeps the 2018 Oscars.

Summer of 2009 also had District 9 and Inglourious Basterds, which were awesome. Guess Elysium and The World's End will fill the awesomeness quotient (though I thought Pacific Rim was awesome and Iron Man 3 solidly good)?

Considering both Cartoon Network and Adult Swim used to show anime on weekdays, and that the current six hours are from 12 to 6 AM, only half of which can reasonably used for new material as opposed to a limited selection of Bebop/FMA/Inu-Yasha/Big O reruns, and out the first half of the block, Bleach, Naruto, and One

I guess Conatonc meant SAO was the first dub premiere they've done since Deadman Wonderland (everything else they've aired has already been on DVD for some time, though Toonami certainly gets points for acquiring more shows than AS had in the previous few years even if they are older).

If they pick good shows, then I'd be up for it. Really, any chance to get anime on TV outside of Toonami's limited airtime would be welcome.

Scariest horror movie ever.

Jurassic Park's been a series of diminishing returns, so I don't know if it will be a mega hit, and I could see Batman vs. Superman being one of those big ticket-sellers that still financially underwhelms the studio. Though that year also has the last Hunger Games and 2 Pixar movies, so yeah, it's going to be a huge

It seems to have broke even worldwide.

Didn't like Witch Hunter Robin, but if you want some outstanding ambiance, have you tried streaming Flowers of Evil on Crunchyroll? Rotoscoped psychological horror/teen angst, sometimes a bit too slow but at other times incredibly emotional and compelling, and always something to look at.

Now I have Flappy in my head. DAMN YOU, DAVID LYNCH!

Transgender and gender-variant are broad enough umbrella terms.

I'm offended that it fails at clarifying because they're two different things that only occasionally overlap.

Autistic people aren't usually retarded. I guess you could say socially retarded, but in terms of general IQ they tend do OK and a number of them are geniuses.

Obligatory "Why hasn't Cuaron apologized for that I Am Autism crap?" thread.

Werewolf Queen! The answer is always Werewolf Queen!

So are BMO's jokes gonna be a lot dirtier from now on?

I was vaguely curious about before since I like Men in Black-style humor and Jeff Bridges. But then the embargo, and the early bad word leaking out, and then those reviews, and yeah, easy skip.

They should just go the Hitchhiker's route and say "true story in a parallel universe."
