Strongly disagree. Many autistics are comfortable with who they are. We might want to get rid of some symptoms but not others (for one thing, we generally enjoy "stimming" and our "special interests", to name some common symptoms). We certainly don't want to be "cured" of being who we are.

Peter Jackson did say he's the biggest Tolkien nerd ever.

Wondering, has your family tried any sort of typing therapy? A lot of nonverbal autistics have been very successful at communicating through typing. Even as a high-functioning Aspie, I find written communication more comfortable than verbal.

The recent Lone Ranger trailer is kind of hilarious in this regard. They seem aware enough that the brand name is sullied yet they still have to use the movies as Depp, Bruckheimer, and Verbinski's calling card, so they simply say "from the makers of… [FLAMING SKULL AND CROSS-BONES GRAFFIC!!!]"

Friends on the Other Side was easily the best part of Princess and the Frog.

Be Prepared is the one from that movie that gets stuck in my head all the time.

You should totally do a dialogue with Film Crit Hulk.

Beasts of the Southern Wild.

You see, I think the opposite: the Pixar pedigree has created a level of disappointment in Brave which it wouldn't be dealing with coming out of any other studio.

It had a qualifying release in LA, but I guess in a year where there were so many good animated films, a Japanese slice-of-life period piece with incest themes directed by a guy who might not be quite the genius as his father and campaigned by a studio which was also campaigning for three other films, none of which

There were actually original songs in Django they could have nominated. I really liked the John Legend one myself.
