I got why Dodd was drawn to Freddie, but I had trouble figuring out why Freddie was drawn to Dodd. Like, I kind of get the initial curiosity, but why did he stick with Dodd for so long? Why'd he continue to get so violently defensive about Dodd when Dodd himself disapproved of such defensiveness? I could never really

Wow. That looks awful for the most part. Only the singing and one of the walking shots looked remotely decent movement wise (the make-up during the singing is iffy), and those were slow-mo anyway. To anyone who's actually seeing this in 48fps, does the real thing look as bad as that interpolation? And I'm curious why

Most (2D) cartoons and anime are animated at 12 or 8fps, so 48fps for them seems kind of pointless.

Labyrinth's thing seems to be lines that have no purpose but confusing people. "Do exactly as I say and I will be your slave"? What's David Bowie want?

I had a weird nightmare in which I was trapped in a theater showing Gandhi II.

Fincher's The Social Network before that had a good one as well: "You can't make 500 million friends without making a few enemies."

I'm guessing if Les Miz was disqualified (Why's it on the list? I guess it has some American producers, but the filmmakers aren't American nor was it filmed in America, so I'm surprised the American Film Institute qualified it) it could have made it in.

I liked Drive a lot but found the most violent bits kind of hard to watch. Are Refn's other films worse in that regard?
