The Playboy Club was good cheesy fun. Like a 50s B-movie. Sure they had to throw in the female empowerment message, but it didn't overwhelm the melodrama. And the music interludes were cool too. It wasn't great, but it was worth a watch. Eddie Cibrian was good in a more handsome, more mellow Richard-Conte-in-the-50s

Your analysis of the show was excellent, really thorough. But let me just add that the scene with Margaret and Nucky by the fireplace was terrific, too. She shows her strength, and it is considerable, without undercutting him or making him feel less in command. Exactly what I think a smart woman would try to do in
