I happen to enjoy Foxtrot Alpha as it has been a great website for current military affairs such as equipment, strategy, and deployment. It has also excelled in discussion of various weapon systems which has allowed a free exchange of ideas on appropriateness of those various systems and their use.

When I access a website called “Jalopnik” I don’t expect to see and read about what is clearly a political issue. There are many, many places where this type of commentary is both common and desired. As far as I’m concerned, this isn’t one of them. FWIW, I have no idea what your article was about, since I didn’t read

A few people know that at one time the Navy and the USMC both had enlisted pilots. The last ones were phased out in 1981. I had the priviledge to meet and bullshit with a couple of Master Sergeants who were pilots when I was working at the Marine Liaison at Norton AFB, CA. Really gnarly old dudes with enough sea

I have put my flame suit on. My wife of 48 years is a German citizen. She has been all her life. She retained her citizenship because she is proud to be German. She even votes on absentee ballots.

My wife and I owned a really sharp little Geo Tracker that was a very capable off roader that didn’t demand a lot of care and attention. As it was my wife’s car she decorated it up in a Holstein cow motif, to include seat covers, spare tire cover, and some black vinyl irregular shaped pieces glued to the soft top. I

When I did a stint as an OTR truck driver driving a company truck it used to make me laugh my ass off every time I saw DOT checking some independent driver’s rig with dozens and dozens of lights that as you pointed out must work if installed. How about being shut down at a weigh station with six or eight trailer side

My first Harley was a 1987 FXR Superglide. It was an overseas delivery in Germany and was a wonderful bike from day one. Along about the third month of ownership, I developed a very nasty problem in the electrical system. Under normal acceleration everything worked fine. However, if I accelerated hard, the engine

Weeellll?

My wife had one to use as a “company” car. She was allowed to keep it at home and use it whenever she felt like it. I was allowed to drive it a couple of times and had a hoot! It was a great counterpoint to my Honda N600.

Reference the Goldwing going into the compact: In 2005 I sold my last motorcycle, a 1966 BMW R90 with a Jawa classic sidecar. The buyer drove over 800 miles to pick up the bike. He arrived driving some little shitbox Toyota (Tercel?). I immediately asked him where he was going to rent a trailer as I knew where the

Personally, having owned a CX2000, I would have to say that would be my personal choice. If I could find one in good shape along with a mechanic within 250 miles that spoke Citroen, I would be all over it like a chicken on a junebug!

If you want to go with a funky French car, skip the 2CV and find a Dyane!

VNV/MC?

There used to be a classic Harley T-shirt that said “If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand.” This may sound like elitism or fortune cookie philosophy, but there is actually a lot of truth in it.

Actually after viewing the film clip and sorta counting the number of bullet holes in the BMW, I think the cop did a pretty good job of putting the rounds on target.

If you enjoyed things when you were 25, chances are good that those same things will trip your trigger when you’re 70+. I should know, JD, beer, and a little herb are as great today as they were in 1970. Sex on the other hand, meh.

1970 San Diego on the freeway to LA. Wife and I enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather in our ‘62 TR3B. Buzzing along at 65 mph. Noticed that I had failed to reattach the home made leather straps I had installed on the hood. No problem, the dzu fasteners will keep it in place.

This is nothing more than a click bait feeding frenzy to bring out all the tired of cliches about the 996 model Porsche 911. I own one, love it, am proud of it and am getting tired of the same old tired crap from people who haven’t owned one or even driven a Porsche. Bugger off.

Back in 2000, I bought a new Hyundai Tiburon for my daily commute of 80 miles one way every day. A year later it was approaching 135K miles with absolutely no problems the entire time. It was a fun little sporty coupe that was comfortable, stylish (in my eyes) and got excellent fuel mileage. The stereo wasn’t bad

I’ve told this story before I think. I bought my beloved 1962 Triumph TR3B in 1967 after returning from Vietnam.
