They are dismantling Dodd-Frank, are deregulating the tax-exempt CHURCH from getting involved in POLITICS (Weird, separation of church and state means nada apparently), have Kelly-Anne Conway spouting off literal lies about a massacre/terror attack that never happened, the National Security Council just added a new

3 years and 50 weeks to go.

Wouldn’t the evidence of protest “working” be the actual policy change (which neither happened nor does it appear to have it increased in likelihood of happening)?

Yes, it absolutely would have been an issue. Anything but an American flag is an issue.

There’s a difference between obeying your commanding officer and literally flying his flag. Instead of your country’s.

yep, equating income with your worth as a human being is always a dead give away.

Bubba, when I took my oath of allegiance, I didn’t have to offer fealty to the President. But I did have to affirm this:

They’re supposed to support the country, not the person in office.

You fucking dumbass, no Navy unit serves a president (aside from that president being a US citizen like any other US citizen). We’re not in Chile or the Philippines or Thailand.

does anyone else see the irony of calling minnesota a liberal state and then complaining that they do not do vehicle inspections?

Came here to post this. Why wouldn’t the guy work a regular job, where he could make at least the upcoming $13/hr minimum in Chicago and then on his off days work for Uber if he wants additional income?

Well that’s not exactly true. there are plenty of jobs- just not enough people willing to put in the work to gain the knowledge, experience, expertise, etc to qualify to apply for one of those jobs.

Umm,don’t have kids they can’t afford. Pretty simple really.

Not every job needs to be a “decent” wage, whatever you intend that to mean. Some jobs simply pay more. Just because you want any job to pay a certain amount, doesn’t mean it will. Some jobs are just not worth more than $x per hour.

“He’s telling his story to make positive changes in his life”

So if I take on financial commitments that my current salary does not support - then my employer does not support livable wages?

He told Bloomberg that he left his previous job, presuming Uber would be a smooth career transition, but “it’s getting harder and harder.”

So let’s get this straight...

Uber has always billed their service as a way for people to make extra cash. A side hustle. Weekend money. The fact that some people opt to try to turn that into a full-time job is nobody’s problem but their own.

I don’t know what’s worse: the near-daily sob stories of some underqualified fools who expect anything less than a “minimum” lifestyle while working a lower-than-entry-level job, or the pathetic excuses for “journalism” implying that the companies paying the underqualified fools are somehow treating said fools
