Uber does not ignore any labor laws. They’re contracted workers. You do not, and it would be foolish to from a business perspective, have to supply benefits such as healthcare to your workers. Uber drivers also do not pay taxes out of their income, being 1099 workers. Uber is doing nothing wrong.
