Everyone knows The Smiths died in a double decker bus crash in 1987 and their legacy of amazing songs was unsullied by subsequent events.

I need to read his novels, his 33 1/3 on Black Sabbath’s Master of Reality is one of my favorite pieces of music writing. And it seems to have some overlap here with its focus on a troubled kid finding something important that adults refuse to acknowledge in art that is about pain and horror.

Loved Darnielle’s last two books and can’t wait to read this one. Also fuck G/O Media etc

I got a Crock-Pot Community notification for this?

I hope not. Wags and creepy Spyros are the only reason to watch the show anymore.

What else you going to do when a kid in the field walks up to you and talks smack?

dumb concept for a game anyways, why would anybody wanna shoot pokemon

Yes, and it’s intentional obfuscation to suggest otherwise.

Pokemon is mainly a franchise for children also so I’m pretty sure Nintendo doesn’t want videos showing Pokemon being shot to death all over the internet. I can fully understand why Nintendo is trying to stop this one

Shooting Pokemon with a gun seems more humane than enslaving them to fight each other.

Their reputation for litigiousness aside, is there a path you can imagine that would have Nintendo, protective of the child-safety of several of their franchises, agree to work with a developer making a game where the characters of one of those franchises are murdered?

That... is actually quite shocking footage. If I were Nintendo I’d want to erase it from the normal areas of the internet too.

I just hope newcomers weren’t tempted to check the show out because of the “I’m a very good lawyer” line from ‘No Way Home’, because if so, they’re in for some disappointment.

I look forward to Together competing against its sequel, Together, Together.

God’s Not Dead: We the People not even longlisted? Welp I’m boycotting

It’s a good show, and the third season (second season part 1?) had some good moments. But there aren’t the big laugh moments Futurama seemed to land consistently. And the pacing feels like they’re leaving a *bit* too much room for the joke to sink in. “You get it? Did you catch that? The joke we made?” It’s an

Did last season get funny? I kinda need the show to be funnier. The whole thing feels...empty. I don’t know how else to explain it. I try to watch it and it’s like opening up bags of chips but there’s nothing in them.

Holy crap the seasons of this are so far apart
