The narrative says they’ve had a supernaturally good winning streak. You’re assuming that’s on one dude, who is a self-obsessed ticking time bomb BTW, out of four - but we don’t see who it’s on because the focus hasn’t been on the games, it’s been on the things you clearly think are irrelevant or boring or whatever.

I didn’t really read the Ms. Bowen/Jamie thing as the show setting up love triangles.

Ted’s reading of Sharon’s note had me in tears, I thought that was really powerful from Sudeikis. I also wonder if we will have an payoff on the suggestion of Sharon’s possible drinking problem.

What is bad about Roy and Keeley’s relationship? What aspect of it isn’t working? The show has never even tried to answer these questions.

I actually found the stories in this episode to work quite well, at least in isolation. Because even in re-watching season two, there are a lot of things that aren’t unmotivated or unfounded, but they are often missing connective tissue. Yet, I was still swept up in each character thread as it unfolded, rather than

The consequences of Sam’s protest, Rebecca’s rejection of pressure from Rupert’s crony, and the fraught dynamics of their relationship are all coming together right now, I think, though I can see why you’d be missing them. The billionaire from Ghana is a fake, an actor hired as a catspaw by Rupert and his pal at

The Marvel fandom, like literally every fandom, sucks. But hoo boy is “I’m so special for thinking fun bullshit is beneath me” a more insufferable take.

One they got past the events of the book, the show took a nose dive, and now their only ideas seem to revolve around making Moss’s character as miserable and unlikable as possible.

I get the ‘hurr-durr pop culture is bad” thing , I guess , but there were a lot of good performances on those shows .

The award for a Hamilton recording is a fucking joke. I love the show, but really?

It definitely does not. Someone threw up a couple of video cameras on a Broadway stage and released the recordings years later. As many dumb and obscure eligibility rules as both the film and TV academies have, it’s amazing they let this slide.

Hamilton is good but it deserves to win for a years old recording?

hi, is this where I grouch about how they did Mythic Quest dirty and better not do the same to Reservation Dogs next year? yes? ok sweet

You sound more like a wannabe tv writer than a critic. Telling us how you would have done it is more pitch than critique

What? Sorry, Myles. I disagree. This was a solid B+.

I like Nandor’s reaction to watching The Big Bang Theory: “Very faithful to the slot machine” as if the latter came first.

Yeah this was the best of the season so far, and easily an all-timer. Nadja and the other vampires needling Guillermo about his private life was strangely adorable.

That’s what made the Airplane movies so appealing to me. Most of the jokes were broad, low-hanging fruit Dad jokes, but it was how they were delivered that made me laugh. “I am serious, and don’t call me Shirley” is a corny joke delivered by a (formerly) dramatic actor as if it was a dramatic line meant to be taken

His wife's a real battle ax, I hear

Norm never did get to come out the closet. Because as everybody knows, he was a deeply closeted homosexual man. He wasn’t gay, that needs to be said, he was just incredibly deeply closeted.
