Having a gun unholstered and trained (doesn’t look like it’s pointing directly towards the person but definitely close enough to make anyone nervous regardless of the circumstances) for that long is odd, but if their protocol is if you unholster your gun you need to keep it out no matter what until back up arrives, it

I think he’s employing an alternate low-ready position called the Sul ready position (it was developed by U.S. trainers during training deployment in South America who did not have confidence in trigger discipline of their trainees). If done properly, the muzzle should not be aiming directly at the vehicle occupant

I think he’s just resting it on his other wrist. Probably easier and less tiring when he doesn’t know how long he will have to wait for backup. Pointing it down is clearly because he wants it trained on the driver and having it a bit sideways is probably just the natural position it ends up in when it’s resting on his

His stance looks similar to a relaxed but ready with weapon stance. Usually when military or police are combat ready (like bust through a door) they hold pistols like this, as well are rifles. And I would assume it’s less tiresome than aiming it like you’re actually ready to shoot (as in a target that you’re trying to

He’s using something called the “Center Axis Relock” shooting stance. It’s not exactly a stance, per se, but a method of holding, aiming and reloading in close quarters situations. It’s become popular in SWAT and military circles. You might have seen it used in John Wick.

It looks like the angle and turn of the gun is just for distance and comfort, but to keep the gun trained on the passenger. Nothing to really get worked up about. Taking right or wrong out of it, try holding a 2 lb weight at a specific angle for 9 minutes.

He’s holding it in a center axis relock stance, which is a means of maintaining the ability to shoot quickly and accurately in close quarters, without needing to look down the sights. He has it held close so as to retain the gun in case the guy in the car tries to grab it. Not that I agree with anything this officer

This is a “tactical” grip. He probably learned from training relating to Krav Maga and Israeli Special Forces, because that is how they hold handguns. It’s “safe” to hold it this way, in case your assailant is also trained in disarming, you keep it close to your body, and give them very little to grab. By keeping the

I would guess he’s required to keep it out until backup arrives so he’s holding it like that pointed in their general direction with his finger off the trigger.

I’m in the huh boat too. I think a lot of us are in this scenario.

...not sure what your endgame is here, particularly given the particulars of the case in question.

The transmission/attempted transmission is the crime, not the disease. It’s not illegal to have a baseball bat, hitting someone with it is.

This guy weaponized it. Clearly. Not sure how (or why) the contrary would be debated.

I think there should be a distinction between living with HIV/AIDS and weaponizing it.

What would you say to someone who knowingly donated HIV-infected blood and somehow circumvented the screening process in an effort to sabotage a hospital? Would they be a victim of the criminalization of disease?

If you were raised properly, you would know the “ They did it first!” excuse is not accepted from Kindergartners, let alone adult racists.

Man pour one out for Olenna Tyrell. Her character will so be missed, but she went out like a G.

That child with a baby is only three years older than my sweet, dumb (in an endearing, adolescent way) son. He doesn’t have a full driver’s license yet. He’s hoping to land his first after school job soon. The thought of him procreating three years from now makes me feel light-headed.

I hope in the near future, when Darth Becky nearly has a stroke responding to a Tweet with the same speed efficieny as a PETA member jumping in front of a car to prevent a raccoon from tattooing the pavement, that Twitter just automatically dumps ads for a therapist, followed by a DM that says

I remember the scene when the big bad thing knocked her to the ground, she smirked, then got up to continue the battle. I can’t find a good screen grab of that, so here you go instead:
