Had my 2003 Acura RSX for 18 years and never had a problem with its sunroof. It may have helped that it popped up and then slid back instead of sliding into the roof. I used it all the time except when it was hot and the sun was directly overhead.

I’m kinda the opposite. I don’t like fastbacks that are not a hatchback. You end up with a trunk with a tiny opening. At least with the hatchback, you can fit the larger stuff into the space and with fold-down seats you can still fit quite a bit.
