When those 4K players get down to the $200 area, then I will think about upgrading.

Agreed. I do not claim to speak for every consumer, or even the majority, but I do not want any software on my TV aside from perhaps a firmware that can be updated. I don't need ANY streaming built in. I have a good half dozen devices that already do that, and do it MUCH better. Leave it off my TV. I want my TV to be

Speeds and directions are notoriously hard to judge at altitudes. This could be something skipping off our atmosphere.

You are right. You have the option to buy or rent. You may not agree with the monthly fee, I don't either. I am a techno person and the math makes more sense for me. It is not what everyone wants though. Not sure calling it BS is fair, it is an option you and many others choose to avoid and that is why you have the

Buying is definitely the way to go to save cash over the long run. Some people prefer to rent them and have the company be responsible for supporting it, not that they need any support, but if something does go wrong, you can call someone to come fix it.

He exercised is right to free speech, but that does not preclude you from being investigated after making threats.

Agreed. Love this show! I was surprised to read that the CIA has first right of refusal on any scripts, but if a former CIA person is writing the show, then... I can sort of understand.

Whole schools are being forced to teach Intelligent Design. Long dormant illnesses are starting to come back because people are not getting their kids vaccinated. I think its kind of a big deal.

Sorry to interject, but you are correct. Science is a continually evolving understanding. That is the beauty of it. Folks can be quite certain of something and then with the proper evidence, change that understanding. It is OK and encouraged. The point is things are tested, theories can be used to predict outcomes. In

I hate the 10% brian thing too, but I watched the movie with the open mind of it was a movie that sort of exlores the idea of "what if this were true"... and I like Scarlett Johansson. ;)

I love this article. Thanks for posting it.

I am not sure how much or few would make the most sense. Just thinking aloud really. I was a flight engineer on the C141.

I balanced fuel in aircraft for a living. Definitely would not recommend flying around like that, but before the approach, putting a few hundred pounds extra on the one side over the other would not cause any problems nor put any undue stress on the wing. Considering the alternative is to have my two engines dragging

That is a BS answer from Charter. States and cities have franchise regulations that prevents multiple cable providers. It is very possible that cable companies like it this way, but it is hardly what your service representative claims.

Not that you want to have unnecessary fuel on board in an emergency landing situation, but it almost makes sense to put all your available fuel in the wing tanks on the far wing tanks and use it to counter balance the landing.

166 square miles? Didn't some guy do it with a wooden boat a couple thousand years ago? /sarcasm

I have a very nice 55" Samsung 1080p set that is about 5 years old. I will be waiting until 4K OLED sets are about the same price point before upgrading again. =) For those coming from a CRT, I would go with a cheaper 1080P LCD set until the 4K OLEDs are at a price point worth switching. I would not pay ~$4K this year

Seems like this is over complicating things. I was a Flight Engineer in the AF. While I do have some stick time on various aircraft, when training, my instructor let me blow off some much needed steam in the full motion simulator. I was able to do touch and goes pretty easily without a lot of effort. Now, I admit,
