A simple goal last summer was to run a mile. At the end of the mile; which I didn't complete by a long shot, I seriously wondered if it would be appropriate to call a cab. ;-)

In DC, we have stationary license plate readers. Last year, maybe the year before...a guy was murdered and his car stolen. DC issues a Be On the Lookout for the plates. The stationary readers found the plate and almost immediately; REAL TIME, notified the cops and the perp was caught.
