And Ava going, “Pew-pew-pew” while shooting pages from her binder. I can’t stop smiling!

When Zari’s flip-phone began biting on Crowley, she made a “Nom-nom-num” sound that really REALLY cracked me up. Imagine Tala Ashe recording that bit in ADR ... I ... um ... it’s goofyness transcendent.

Unless, of course, Crisis did a thing that will never be explored or fully comprehensible.

Based on the other CW shows and Caity's ew interview, they couldn't have the entire cast in each ep because of COVID. Hence why astra was awol for a couple of eps and Conatantine was awol last week.

There are times when we need to step back and appreciate the fact half of this episode is about a mad scientist and his army of clones turning people into monsters on an alien planet, and the other half’s about a 19th Century sorcerer changing reality into a cartoon and being defeated through song.

Strangely enough, we play sports in other countries.

The show just seems a bit overstuffed with characters right now. I feel like they haven’t even made Astra more integrated with the group before bringing in Spooner.

-Rory’s a writer, of course he has words. We’re just lucky, genre-wise, none of them were “turgid”.

I really like both Behrad and Zari 2.0 but I agree that the show struggles a bit to know what to do with them, as it is too easy to reduce them to being just a stoner and an influencer, both with powers, but kind of shallow

The foot/nail sequence is one of the few scenes put to film that I have to close my eyes for.

And they totally nailed the reprise!

So good they used it twice.

all O.C. fans can agree that her death on season 3 was the show’s most tragic moment, and marked when it all started going downhill”

Right. Season 4of AoS (I think, the one with the LMDs and the Framework) is a masterclass in sustaining a 22 episode season.

They even gave her appearances that whoosh-vampire sound effect.

Les-lay and her frankly astonishing cleavage were *suspiciously* good at sneaking up on people.

A fun episode. Jes Macallan as Ava is so much the heart of the show now & is totally up to it. She is welcoming Spooner onto the team that she once was so hostile to.

You’re right, but I still wish for it to be different. I’m happy to get what we got to date, but the byproduct of making the MCU last this long has meant there’s installments that do a lot of legwork for structuring the franchise, with little focused on their own continuity- sometimes they just get outright retconned

I thought the way they handled the usual CGI battles was clever, in that Wanda was faking all along in order to draw Agatha into a trap. I still think that it would have made sense for Dr. Strange to have a cameo though - maybe he could have appeared at the end, in the scenes where she was at the cabin. I appreciate
