Dear god, this was the worst episode in the worst season of what is, on its best day, a middling series.
There may or may not have been Mandalorians at the controls, but Mandalorian fighter craft were part of the Galaxy Fleet.
Not necessarily. Mandalore tends to stay out of galactic politics unless they’re building an empire of their own. They’d likely be one of those “leave them to their own devices for now” factions for the First Order.
“That boy was our only hope.”
It also doesn’t help that the more we see of the Mandalorians, the more inept they appear. Watching them clumsily climb the mountain or move some branches just looks silly. I’m starting to wonder if this is all just a callback to the OT’s Boba Fett where he looks cool but when push comes to shove he’s actually pretty…
it very much feels like the animated shows, where because they had 20+ episodes they could alternate between plot-centric and ‘adventures of the week’. but 20+ episodes annually and 8 episodes every 20 months is a very different beast.
I think I finally figured out what has been frustrating me about Mandalorian almost since the beginning, but especially these last two seasons (Boba Fett and Mando season 3). The story always SEEMS to have a logical next step. Even if we as an audience can’t specifically name what it is we are expecting, there’s an…
Man the less time we spend with the Mandalorians as a group the better, frankly. They seem to have no interests beyond stating the obvious or repeating proverbs. Like would it kill the showrunners to show any of these people talk about food or the weather or something? They’re always just like “I will train by…
She barely moved her mouth when she talked. I was very disappointed in her interpretation of Kate Kane. Hopefully we get a better one in a movie some day.
I’m just going to pretend that the penultimate episode was the series finale. Eventually, I’ll convince myself of it.
IIRC, the last episode (or maybe two), Sophie was riding around in the Batmobile with Batwoman. I believe she even got out and helped confront a baddie. If they had another season, I wouldn’t have been surprised if they had a little rebellion and started drawing straws to see who wore the suit.
I’ve watched every episode, but have been meh on Batwoman since the beginning and it did not help that with each season, the show got progressively worse.
Yes! I was 7 or 8 when this came out, and I just remember Penguin being gross and sad. I always felt like Batman was overmatched for the sad ugly guy in the dirty onesie. I feel like watching his gigantic but waddle around in dirty longjohns was more disturbing than watching him bite someone’s nose off.
That’s a good point: with well-written relationships, each pairing brings out a different aspect of the character, as some part of the person responds to something in the other. The Mick we see with Amaya isn’t the same Mick we see with Stein; the Sara we see with Stein isn’t the same as the Sara we see with Jax. In…
That’s probably true - the writers saw how much we loved Beebo and other silly moments that season, and decided that’s what the show should be. Rather than realising that that’s what the show should occasionally be...
This show is so good at the team building and bringing characters on board. It is impossible for me to believe that the team once did not have either Zari or Ava
Fucken Oath! AoS deserves top 3 at the very least.
Agents of SHIELD at 9th? That’s some weapons grade bullshit right there. You have to do better AV Club (again).
