College is still essentially free or insanely cheap depending on what a student has to offer, what they are studying, etc because of the massive amount of scholarships out there. Many, many people, don’t look into scholarships thoroughly and instead, pay for things they otherwise wouldn’t have to.
Well, there’s that and the fact that with an HBCU degree, it limits the graduate to only working in HB institutions because the perception is that they have a racial chip on their shoulder that’s going to be a problem.

I understand. To some degree it depends on how much you dislike cutting your grass, or if you have neighbors who really like to do lawn work. I’m 19 and in middle school and high school, I liked doing yard work and still do.
