ehh... I appreciate everyone's style to some degree. but brevity for brevity's sake isn't always better. like the vertical spacing. i like it spaced out so it's easier to read. condensing it to just fit more text on the screen just makes it slower to read. I have my monitor vertical so I can fit more code in.

it's sad that people think that Battle Royale was a ripoff or came after Hunger Games. this is a movie that everybody should watch.

has anyone driven it yet? kind of hard to say it's great without a drive...

it's not price. young people lust over BMW, MBZ, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Japanese imports, etc. even though only old people can afford some of these machines, we still lust over it. the typical image of the Corvette driver is the old balding white guy with a little country in him who wears Corvette jackets

shouldn't he be spinning on the dragon punch / shoryuken?

that's a mighty long stretch to compare it to the ferrari...

"Bueller? Bueller?"

wow! an AMD APU that only runs at 40W! that is a powerful beast of a machine! sign me up!

the problem with joke pieces is if the jokes aren't spot-on, the whole thing doesn't work. and this long piece doesn't work. I love Gamasutra but this one was a dud.

yeah, I feel bad for "Bob". not so much for "Frank". but you work in this industry, you often sign NDAs and NDAs are there for a purpose. I used to do QA way way back when. Reviewed a ton of weird and sometimes cool things (we even did the CueCat scanner, what a fiasco) all under NDA and it would've been fun to

I don't think you're understanding the market. The PC gamer is not going to be buying this. And the console gamer will choose a less powerful PC for a higher cost because it's smaller and because it's Valve?

I've built a lot of crazy machines. even used things like water cooling. name a PC in a small case that's good at gaming. you can't even fit a decent graphics card in any of the SFF.

how the heck are they going to fit PC parts in a small case? all the small case PCs are terrible gaming PCs. and if they make it small by using nonstandard, non-commodity parts, then you lose all the benefits of a PC. small is expensive. the only small that is cheap has cheap hardware.

Newell is such a blowhard. "You can make your own Steam store", as long as Valve/Steam gets their cut. It's an open system, as long as you get it through the Steam store.

too many gamers apparently have no lives...

because only the NRA-toting cult know about this kind of stuff... it's a dark seedy underworld that we don't know about...

can you be cheesy and cool at the same time?

it is on both the hard drive and the cloud. think before you speak. in fact, most of the complaints just indicate people don't know how it works on the 360. there is a portion of your hard drive dedicated to cloud saves. when you play your game, you are updating the local copy of the game save. then when you are

there's an old Atari game that's far more risque... forever immortalized through emulators...

i read that they had a kickstarter which raised over $250K for this minecraft making-of movie. pretty amazing that people donated for this project.
