Pretty sure that most ISPs provide router/modem combos in a single unit. I refer to it as a router to make things simple.

My pet peeve with articles like this (and it happens quite often across tech sites) is that they will get me excited about a new feature that I now have; that I can’t wait to try; and then they’ll follow that up with “It’s only in the beta . . .”. Well, that doesn’t help me at all. Here’s a thought. Have the self

I have a genuine Movado and a genuine Timex :) Spending a couple hundred bucks on a ‘Rolex’ might actually be fun. I wouldn’t read too much into it. I don’t have anyone in my social circles to impress with a watch.

Yeah, I don’t know who would fall for this outside of NJ. Someone wants to do this not normal behavior and you would naturally wonder what’s in it for them. Can’t be good for you.

The better comparison is between the Pixel and Samsung’s flagship since they are in the same Android ecosystem and more likely competing for the same customer. If you’re already in the Apple walled garden there’s probably no reason to stray.

I have CAT5 in my house. Works great. Had a chat with a Verizon support rep one time about the lack of speeds I was getting and he mentioned that with CAT5 you can’t exceed 100 Mb/s. He was wrong as you can actually push a Gb/s for up to 100 meters. He refused to listen to me as I let him know that I had been getting

Better would be just to be comfortable in your own filth. Easy. Or maybe better put just don’t fret about being a neat nick. Clean for 20 minutes then take a week off.

I use Google Meet and Calendly for work. It seems that this new system requires me to set up available blocks of time. My availability changes day to day and week to week. Do I have to manually set up available blocks each week or does it work like Calendly and everything is just automatic?

Typo alert:

I refinished my basement all on my lonesome and did all the wiring from a DIY book. I did have an electrician inspect my work before closing everything up so that’s a way to go if you’re relatively handy.

I just use a plastic splatter guard that works really well in both of my microwaves. I did however have a sweet potato once burst into flames filling my kitchen with smoke. It took sometime to air out the microwave and I’ll never buy sweet potatoes in an orange mesh bag again. Really weird.

We water our flowerbeds with a large watering can. It only happens when it’s not raining. It doesn’t require batteries. It’s pretty dumb so no fancy app to learn. Plastic is cheap. I don’t really understand the use case for having many complicated watering systems, but each to their own I guess.

I have a custom ring tone for one person, another for another person, and after that I have my phone on silent for any phone number that isn’t in my contacts. I don’t really know why you would put your phone on silence for everything. Wouldn’t you miss calls that you would actually want to pick up?

Hasn’t Mars already gone through the worst of climate change? What normal people would really want to live on a barren rock?

One would think that a company’s actual customers would take the front seat every time. However Wall Street claims that seat every time and the customer sits in the back. Always.

I’m curious as to how they launch rockets with launch windows of many hours without hitting space debris. I would think that launch windows would be minutes at a time with pauses to allow space junk to get out of the way until they resume the countdown. Anyone know how rockets navigate the dangers?

My linear mind doesn’t lend itself to enjoying open world games. I’m curious how people have the time in their lives to explore over 1,000 worlds.

There have been a few shows that I was planning on streaming because they were interesting then I found out that they were cancelled after the first season so I’m like, why should I care?

They’ll just do what they did in the NW. Trap them. Tag them. Eradicate the nest. Repeat.
