Yeah, don’t think about who’s in charge of the ‘failing’ schools just fall for this bullshit grift.
I just think it’s kind of great that they’re taking Betsy’s money to send her to school (supposely, I’d cash that check fuckin’ fast) and haven’t figured out that that’s what we’ve been trying to get them to do but on a larger scale. Rich people should use their money to fucking help other people, what a concept huh?
Why would they do that? The destruction of public schools is one of their greatest dreams.
Yes.
If only Republicans tried to improve the public schools...
This is an Agitprop nightmare. Someone at their Christian school dimed them out to DeVos. I can only imagine the casting process.. Using the Oprah technique. I can’t but white folks will eat that shit up.
I would assume it would be OK if it were your cookout, if he’s known your immediate family for over 5 years, knows 10 of your cousins (which can include Uncles & Aunts (mostly ones your friend’s age and younger), in-laws, former roommates, or children of any of the above), and can properly / confidently give daps.
*puts pierogi casserole down and stalks off in a huff*
6. No Black person wants an invite to that shit. That’s why we have our cookouts. We don’t even want to do potlucks for work unless we’re eating another Black co-worker’s food.
Surprised that they don’t try to throw out that the KKK was founded but Democrats without realizing the southern (D)‘s switched right over to (R)‘s several decades ago.
That’s my go-to.
And that force started during Reconstructiton. The propaganda that we are all living through today started early and swiftly and it is goddamn incredible that black Americans have been able to keep a light shining on that part of history despite all this.
I don’t think I ever even got to the civil war in middle/high school. We were “supposed” to get to the civil war and reconstruction at the end of the year but never quite made it. My first “real” introduction to the civil war was my grandfather giving me copies of Sherman’s memoirs.
My favorite one is telling white people from Texas that their hero Sam Houston was deposed in a putsch because he refused to secede from the union.
All but one of the seceding states signed articles of confederation claiming the rights of whites to own black slaves.
There’s a simple counter to the states’ rights bullshit. Just ask them “the right of states to do....what, exactly”?
It doesn’t help that there is an active effort underway by avowed white supremacists to obscure the truth, or at a minimum, muddle the facts.
“According to a report by the Southern Poverty Law Center, nine out of 10 high school seniors either incorrectly identified or openly admitted they weren’t sure of what caused the Civil War. Two-thirds (68 percent) of high school seniors don’t know that it took a constitutional amendment to formally end slavery.”
How about just a new Vagrant Story that is Vagrant Story, instead of having to change one of the most unique aspects of its gameplay with something that not every game needs to be. Strategically aiming your attacks and spells was one of the best parts of Vagrant Story’s combat, and diluting that to simply slapping R1…
