Vagrant didn’t click with me initially as well, because it was so unlike other Square titles of the time.  I kept the game though and went back to play it a couple years back (2014 I believe) and it clicked.  I absolutely adore the heck out of this game and will never stop singing its praises.

Dark Souls-style Vagrant Story remake would be so amazing. Not that the combat system of the original is bad, but when I think about all the things they could do with enemies, the whole design and potential for an even more massive and intimidating Lea Monde.. there’s just so many possibilities.

Generally I think remakes are pretty lame but this is a game I think could really expand on it's ideas and concepts. Square used to be so experimental. Also has an incredible ending theme. 

Best art design, best music, best story, best localization.  One of the all-time greats.

I like that the original Glenda was backhanded as fuck. Asked Dorothy if she was a good witch or a bad witch and then when Dorothy answered her Glenda laughs and goes “Only bad witches are ugly.” what are you trying to say Glenda!?

I was at a farm that has kids events for Halloween and one of them is a corn pit for the kids (it’s like a ball pit you see at McDonalds, except it was filled with corn...look, I don’t know, it was a farm and throwing the kids in a goat pit would have been a disaster, okay?)
