His response to a tweeted cover of the NYT with the caption, “Yup, that’s the f word on the cover of the NYT” was “Don’t see how that’s necessary. He can be quoted and we can all know what he’s saying without seeing all four letters.” I can see the argument that

Complete misrepresentation of what Werder was saying. He disagreed with the NYT’s choice to publish the full word “Fuck” in an article, because they can easily censor the word with characters while still making it obvious to the reader which word Trump used. I don’t agree with him, but I understand his point. Typical

The word he was upset about was “fuck”, not “pussy”. I don’t think that affects your argument, but your point about opting for more accuracy is kind of undermined if you’re not going to bother doing it yourself.

They just get angrier and snarkier around here when you call them out on their intellectual dishonesty. It’s not worth it.

Reading his timeline, it seems like he was actually objecting to the word “fuck.” Specifically, it being on the cover of the New York Times, and that he would have preferred “f***.” It’s a little old fashioned, but I don’t think it’s as colossally stupid as you make it out to be.
