YOU PEOPLE!

I would never buy an X1 - but I DID buy an X5...

Speaking of blind spot monitors, one habit I’ve somehow developed over time is to never change lanes into someones blind spot.  I’ll speed up or slow down before I make the change.

Aren’t there countries in Europe now where negotiating your “capacity” is part of negotiating your salary? For example, first you negotiate a 100k/year salary. then, you negotiate that you will work at 60% capacity - and thus earn 60k/year working 3 days a week instead of 5. I guess maybe that never took off?

Me and my two childhood friends have now come into our own and finally bought our “big boy” cars. We happened to all get 2017 models. I got an X5 Diesel, another got an STi, a third got a Q50s.

So... Japanese for you then?

Its because FCA is leasing RAM’s for half the cost.

I hate FCA. I used to be an engineer for FCA, got to see the “belly of the beast” or whatever. that company is right fucked. Because of that I refuse to purchase an FCA product.

the BRZ/FRS/GT86. Although, I didn’t end up buying one either....

How do you really feel about the engine though? I remember when the Scout was launched I was really considering one. but the Polaris engine just didn’t do it for me. Lacked character, seemed too.... “atv” for me.

well, they are 45 of pretty much The Same shots. He’s just manipulating exposure and perhaps the lightbox position to get different reflections from which he can pick and choose - or eliminate entirely. So it isn’t “spray n pray” and work with what you have - its all calculated beforehand. And this would be the same

I draw the line when the “artist” starts adding things in. What this guy did by image stacking in photoshop is just a digital equivalent of what people used to do back in the day in a darkroom. and that was 100% photography.

It is daunting as the curve ascends rapidly. Suddenly, you want better pics you gotta spend 10k on lenses, bodies, lights, tripods, filters, etc. BUT - phone cameras have gotten so damn good that, unless you’re doing alot of photoshopping or blowing a picture up, or using a wild lens most people on instagram can’t

Speaking as someone who has been hired to shoot professionally, although not cars (alot harder to find clients!) I shoot them for fun - I can say that you are vastly underestimating the impacts of image stacking.

What was it then?

Actually, almost every German car can do this. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Every one can. but they are disabled when shipped to other continents. I mean, My 2001 BMW has the option...

They are pressure sensitive. they activate when either the ABS is activated, or the brake pressure passes beyond a

I mean, people generally want obnoxious vehicles - me included. Its an emotional decision, not a rational one. so in a situation like this, the government kind of has to force their hand, don’t you think?

Can’t wait until this becomes a movie.

Pretty happy to see Dragon Age II there. I loved playing Dragon Age I and II. The characters were fun, the strategy part was fun, and best of all - when you got into a fight, some badass rock music would start playing while you started brawling.  That felt so good!  it was just like that trailer set to Marilyn

Oh yeah, we could all totally afford brand new cars if it weren’t for those darn CD players and garage openers adding thousands of dollars to the list price.
