Dwarf Fortress is going to cost money once it has, ya know... graphics.
Dwarf Fortress is going to cost money once it has, ya know... graphics.
...specifically compared to Dwarf Fortress, it’s very much massive - both in terms of actual game space involved, and in terms of game assets and data.
Some people definitely think Star Citizen can do no wrong, but just as many people (if not more) also think it can do no right.
I love it whenever a gaming website runs an “article” that reaches for the low hanging fruit of “video game still in development has bug, OMG LOL” and it prompts a bunch of imbeciles who have never even looked at the game in depth and don’t realize just how actually impressive it really is to join the bandwagon of…
...how about no? They’re happy with their progress, and so are their fans.
Would love to see those documents. Sadly, I suspect this is a real “My uncle works at Nintendo” kind of comment.
A specific elevator somewhere in the game has a problem, specifically set off by the player intentionally running against the door while the elevator is moving? That must mean all elevators, everywhere, are broken! Harr harr!
oh no the newest/biggest ship is buggy
I’ve played it a decent amount lately with one of my friends and have really enjoyed it. With this Invictus week, it’s been really cool to see the larger ships finally in the game. I mean, yeah, it’s a poorly optimized, buggy mess--but still one you can have a lot of fun with.
You never got your money back? I got a refund over half a decade ago.
Or, or, and here’s another distinct and even more likely possibility, you could just be overreacting to a social media joke that is not at all actually about literally shaming anyone for being “horny on main” and is in fact playing on and doing a more effective job of undermining the same cultural hangups that you are…
They’re not banning all adult items. They’re restricting the items they will allow for sale, and those that are adult items such as toys will go into adult-specific categories. The wording they use says this - “we want to make adult items available” - and they do. It’s not cooperate doublespeak unless you’re purposely…
I’ve said this elsewhere and I’ll say it again.
It still refutes the idea that devs benefit, when the deals are with publishers - whoever you blame.
Epic wants to look like they’re the good guys, but in reality they’re just as scummy and money hungry as anyone else. They act like avoiding the fees of the app store is righteous, but it’s not like they’re going to charge less to the customers for their microtransactions. They just want to pocket a larger percentage.…
From today’s Apple vs Epic hearing: “If Apple told you the deal would only be with you and no other developers,” referencing a carve-out for lower App Store commission, “would you have accepted that deal?”
I’m still not buying Hitman 3 until they release it on Steam.
Doesn’t the line:
Why do I feel Epic is being really slimy about this. They are the equivalent of the acquaintance you meet in college that seems nice but is overall problematic. You add them on Linkedin and they only hit you up when they can no longer fake it to make it.
So literally no-one benefited from their aggressive exclusive acquisitions (except, I suppose, devs whose games might not have otherwise made as much).
