The voice actors aren’t the original actors, but rather the actors who held the roles of those characters in more recent games. They do a good job, but in some ways I prefer the voice acting in Crash 2 and Crash 3. (The original Crash 1 acting was barely even a thing, so it’s a wholesale improvement in that one.)

It’s a remake, plain and simple. Built from the ground up and all. You don’t have to change things for it to be a remake, although they certainly did change a lot of the completion requirements that made Crash Bandicoot 1 such a slog to get all the Gems for (in the process, they made the Tawna and N. Brio bonus stages

...In what mindset does one interpret this article as blaming Pokemon Go?

“In Japan 99% of people are Japanese”

If you’re pulling that number from census data, you should know Japan takes its census based on nationality, not ethnicity.

Which seems like a strange way of doing it, but what do I know?

“Getting tired of open world” would sort of imply that you play them, though. If they don’t appeal to you, you aren’t tired of them—they just don’t appeal to you. That’s kind of like an FPS fan complaining that he’s “tired” to turn-based RPGs. Or a vegetarian complaining that they’re “tired” of beef.

No one really got up in arms about Xtreme 3 until the whole “those evil SJWs are scaring games out of our markets now” thing. No one was talking about Xtreme 3 at all. Tecmo released a statement, Play-Asia played off that statement, and then there was outrage in the game’s defense against a perceived form of passive

Ain’t even just feminists or SJWs that laugh at waifu similators. Before it was cool to hate people on the Internet for being PC, everyone laughed at waifu simulators. They were either for basement-dwellers, for immature teen boys, or for weebs. Now suddenly it’s a question of being an SJW or not. You can hardly crack

DOA Xtreme is a game that goes quite a bit farther than just “having” bouncing tits, though. Unlockable poledances where you can control the camera are one of the most easily-found parts of the game on YouTube. DOA5 is still getting its frequent skimpy fanservice costume packs and they’re still letting us purchase the

Well aware that this comment is ooooooold, but I wanted to give my two cents on the subject because I’m opinionated like that.

You could write a book about how many unique things the Oddworld series did and how well-executed they were. That they aren’t games for everyone is obvious, but that just makes marketing even

Believe it or not, the GameCube actually did have RE2 and RE3 ports, which were significantly smoothed out visually and are honestly my favorite versions to play because of that. They’re pretty hard to find and pricey nowadays, though.

Nah, the Resident Evil Remake was released for the Wii as well, I believe. But I’d hardly call those “remasters,” they were pretty much straight up ports with minor added Wii control options.
