The MCU Spider-Man films seem to be avoiding retreads of the Raimi and Webb films as much as reasonably possible — previously unused villains and different choices in the more optional supporting characters. I suspect some of the more samey stuff that appeared in the Webb films might have made this more palatable.

I’m surprised there’s not been much discussion about how the MCU Spider-Man takes the most liberties with its source material than any other MCU hero to date.

I liked the ending of Season 1. For all the feints the show takes towards the mystical and supernatural, at the end of the day it’s a more-or-less realistic depiction of the world, so of course the villains are going to turn out to be disgusting but conventional humans. Also, if I’m not mistaken, the series ends with

That is because it’s only a partial redemption. Loki never says he is sorry for the attack on New York. Or faking his death. Or taking over Asgard and putting Odin in a nursing home.

*sigh*....*claps*

Buddy, you don’t have to be gay to ogle at Rob’s body. Beauty is beauty whether you want to have sex with it or not.

Your hatred of Philly and particularly Simmons reeks of some personal bias. Simmons is legit a borderline automatic triple double every night. Yes he's a garbage range shooter but he plays solid D and facilitates better than most PGs.

I think the thing is Trump is so completely unlikable and bereft of any positive characteristics that it’s almost impossible for any skilled actor to really play a Trump-like character successfully. Their natural charisma just comes through and they give the character humanizing elements just by virtue of doing a

“I know what I got myself into,” James said. “It’s a process. I get it.”

Eh, Machado about nothing, if you ask me.

Over on the Doctor Who Facebook page there are a ton of complaints here. I wanted to take second tor address some of those here. 1.) The title sequence feels a lot like classic era Doctor Who. For all the complainers I’ve seen - I wonder if any of them have even watched the 1st-6th Doctor episodes? This title sequence

I saw it a mile away, and the journey was no less satisfying.

I’m disappointed in myself for not seeing where that was headed before it got there.

Who do I root for? On one side, we have a nonverbal orange-haired monster, concocted by capital to appeal to and siphon money from unsophisticated rubes, who has irritatingly saturated social media and (perhaps due to forces somewhat beyond his control) politicized sports. The other is Gritty.

I thought they were gonna kill peter and switch to miles during the Osborn rally and was a little disappointed when they didn’t.

Cast Vincent Kartheiser as a needy, attention-seeking Joker, and I’ll go see it five times on the opening weekend.

Do you understand that the good doesn’t outweigh the bad and that doing “good” is actually their job? They’d get more credit for their good members if they actually did something about the bad ones.

If he doesn’t hear it already, he’s going to hear a ton of it from his friends moving forward about how hot his mom is.

Man, I visited Philly for the first time in June and had a great time. City treated me well, even with my team’s gear on (probably still too drunk off the championship to even care.)

But naw man Id rather die than root for yall.
