You are aware that the only reason Lexus is doing the deal like that is to prevent dealers from tacking on tens of thousands of dollars to the cost of what will be a rare and hard to get car, right?

Meh. A, very successful, orthopedic surgeon friend of my family's once bought a big S Class merc. He pulled 5 million a year, easy. Most of the Irish people I know think Irish Car Bombs are stupid because they're there, like shots, to get you as hammered as possible as quickly as possible. I'm told that, in Ireland, you go down to your local pub and drink socially. It's about being out with your friends, not blacking out.

How about, for less than 45k, I buy a used GTO, drop a supercharger and suspension on it, maybe some other toys, get close to that much HP, take my lady out for a nice steak dinner, save some and spend the rest on hookers and blow.

I dunno who did this ad, but whatever it is I do, I want them to advertise me doing it.
