Both the union and the big three's management fall into the category of dumb, fat americans. As such, I posit that this is the only true answer. Now that I think about it, the only things that don't fall into that category are Ralph Nader, unless he's gotten fat, and OPEC.

Still want a used V10 Diesel Touareg. They share the same horrific depreciation as other VW's, but when your vehicle's value is plummeting from $80k, it takes me longer to afford it.

@slysolstice07: True. But I try not to. To some extent, you can't avoid buying partially chinese made good when you buy anything with plastics. I want my next car to be a new GTI, and at least that's assembled in Germany.

I still prefer making my long drives at night. Less traffic, fewer cops, more peacful. When I was in college I used to make the drive from Savannah, Ga back to Birmingham, Al at night doing 100 to 110. Windows cracked a little for fresh air and hauling ass through empty south Georgia. I'm lucky I never hit a deer!

Is anyone actually going to BUY a chinese car? I don't trust them to use the proper strength steels and such. One day you'd be driving along all the sudden, during a fender bender, you'd find out the front crumple zone was made of cardboard, or melamine.

Is it just me, or did they just paint being black and successful as being symbolized by two things: a) getting a lincoln navigator and b) getting a white woman(the girl at the end holding the guy's arm and smiling real big)? I'm too lazy to re-watch it.

@LandofID: Did you text that comment in or something? I think I missed your punctuation.

@bmoreDLJ: There's no question about that. Becoming a citizen. But on brining this into the country....why can't you just register the thin in mexico, keep a post office box there or use the address of a family member as a second residence and just drive it in the US? Hell, Texas is not California. Yes the cops

@pres: Better unremarkable than just damn ugly.

@Pew Pew BOOM: If I could, I would promote this comment. I gotta pee too, and I need to know the answer.

@Jim-Bob needs more two stroke and less hybrid!: Too right. One day I'll be able to afford to have and maintain a second car, and to be able to track it. My best best for that is a mazda. If I can fit in to one that is. I'm 6'3" and worry that in a crash I'd break my neck on the roll cage bars.

@wallaka: I think as long as I get a Peake Research Reader and a car with the optional trunk midget I ought to be taken care of, yes?

@wallaka: Duly noted. Perhaps I should start saving up while the prices drop.

@VeeArrrSix: I've got the Ross-Tech VAG-COM. I paid $250 for mine. It saved me about $1000 over the last couple of years if you count dealer scans at $100 a pop. I think the ones for the MKV might be a little more. It's well worth it. The proper cable from Ross-Tech has a dongle with a hardware license key for

@VeeArrrSix: I did mean an inline six. I lusted after one for so long, but then gave up and purged it from my memory. I do think it's the best looking M3 ever as well. The new one is too swoopy, the fat hips on the I6 M3 are just mean.

@VeeArrrSix: I'd be with you on this, except I've always wanted an NSX as much as I've always wanted an M3. If you get the last gen v6 M3 though, word is that you have to spend $1,500 on a valve job every 12 to 15 thousand miles. I know it puts out a bunch of HP for the displacement, especially considering that the

I want a small 4wd drive car with some off road capability and good gas mileage......
