Because what I’m saying is that it doesn’t have to be a different reality. Racism can’t be solved overnight, but police officers could try to not treat the people they’re tasked to protect as military targets, and it would be a positive result for all, even if society as a whole is still racist.

What would happen... if instead of showing up like this picture, police officers showed up to these demonstrations wearing a uniform, radio, and body cam, with only a taser as a weapon, and some backup handcuffs or zip ties?
