So glad we sold our ‘09 Sportwagen TDI. Loved the car, hated dealing with VW. It was the automobile version of the “free printer, expensive ink” model. Emissions parts started failing at 36,900 miles (exhaust valve) and when I started digging a little deeper, I found out VW was the only of the big three diesel players…

But VW and Audi said their 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine was able to meet the requirements without a urea injection system — although many people have wondered exactly how.

Doesn’t the Mk.7 Golf TDI have urea injection? I thought that was the reason why it has the twist-beam rear suspension instead of the independent setup in the TSI cars.
