There were important state wide and local races. I understand that it rarely comes down to one vote, but I felt that my vote mattered in some of the closer elections.

His team was smart enough to go after the votes that mattered; the Clinton campaign wasn’t as strategic.

Because there were positions up for election other than the presidency.
