Actually, HD builds a pretty good, reliable bike. The AMF days are long gone.

I’d like to have an American bike in my garage. Since HD only makes cruisers, and everything else is boutique, it’s not going to happen. There’s a small ray of hope for Indian to make something that isn’t a cruiser, but I’m not holding my breath. If they do, it won’t be small and light (thinking of a Suzuki SV 650).

I really like what Cadillac is doing these day. Being able to buy an American car that competes on equal footing with the Europeans & Japanese is awesome. They cost more than I spend on cars, but I would like to own one at some point.

I’ve always thought of GT as “race car with comfort features”. I can’t think of any that have 4 doors or useful back seats. Seems like we’re in agreement on that.

Nope. I said they frequently have two seats, and then I gave examples of what I consider a shooting brake. That said, a GT is bordering between hatchback & shooting brake to me. If it was Japanese, I’d call it a hatch. Since it’s English, I lean to brake.
