From the same article, Tim Marchman’s statement:

Because if Alex is going to chastise McCain for sitting around and doing nothing of substance while benefitting from grandstanding on a public platform, he should at least have the awareness that he’s the pot calling the kettle black.

Pretty sure at least one of the Deadspin Deadbrains said he wasn’t voting because he didn’t live in a Swing State, he lived in Pennsylvania.

I think the point was that maybe don’t use your platform read by a lot of Americans every day to bloviate about how ‘both parties are really the same, man, and my vote doesn’t actually matter anyway so fuck it!’ type of ideologies, especially if afterwards you are going to say shit like, ‘man can you believe how

he’s right, there’s nothing untruthful about that post. and you’re right, it has nothing to do with this particular article.

Never forget:

I think McCain is an excellent illustration of how positive character traits are not necessarily transitive from one context to another. Just because he was brave in one circumstance hasn’t precluded his being a coward others.

I guess I’m one of the mythical “undecided voters,” in that I am undecided as to whether I will vote at all. There are surely more undecided voters like me than of the other type, those civic-minded numbskulls who populate televised town halls and Frank Luntz focus groups because they are positive they will vote, but

The resistance is working and they can’t let up for a single day. The trouble is going to come if the resistance movement loses momentum via just getting worn out from rallying or calling or emailing their congress critters. The pressure has to be louder, longer, and stronger than the Tea Party rallies of 09/10 that

Expecting to see trump age is like expecting to see Darth Vader age. With apologies to Obi Wan, he’s more spray tan, foundation, and corn silk than man now.

The CBC sent him a letter. He ignored the letter. The leader of said caucus just released a statement saying that Trump’s claim about the cancellation inaccurate and fictional.

Oh, my comment is a wild understatement of how disturbing all that was. The guy he shushed asked what sounded like a pretty tame question too. It’s just...it’s all so bad.

He sounds like a student giving a book report on a book they never read.

Let’s be clear. He was asked three times about Jew-hatred, and refused three times to answer. He shushed and scolded a man in a kippah who complimented him, because a question about Jews in danger annoyed him.

He also pre-empted her question with an “oh geez, here comes a hard question”, then after she asked it complimented her for being “professional”.

She could win, but I don’t have enough faith in America for a hands down victory. Not yet, anyway.

I agree. My post was actually not sarcastic. Dubya WAS far better than this. Right after the election results came in, I was saying to myself, “we survived 8 years of Dubya, we can survive this.” But I didn’t realize exactly how insane and incompetent Trump and his crew are. I am legit worried now.

Well he changed the conversation from, “What about anti-semitism?” to how “bigly” he won the electoral college.

Then when asked about a two-state solution he says something along the lines of “One state or two state, I’m not sure. Some say one is better than two but both could be good depending on how you look at it.”

The weirdest thing about the “a guy you can have a beer with” thing is that Bush and Trump are both teetotalers.

Anything to promote whitening.
