I love how thin people can just wear anything.
I love how thin people can just wear anything.
You lived in a much different 90s then I did. Mine involved a lot of long underware and flannels
So many things about the 1990s are coming back, I hope we can all intervene with the Tweezer-happy youth if skinny sperm brows come back in fashion.
hahahah this was my only real thought while reading this. RIP, brows.
Very sad story - I was in middle school/high school in the late 90s, so I tweezed my already naturally thin brows to the perfect 90s line... and they never grew back... ever... siiiiiiiiigh...
I know a young (at the time) woman who had an unplanned pregnancy, she worked with a Catholic organization to set up an adoptive family. The baby was born very premature and with mental disabilities. The adoptive family backed out and the baby was going to be sent to an institutional facility because no one would take…
I’m pretty sure a woman can certainly give up a child born with severe birth defects. A woman can place any child she can’t take care of for adoption. But if the foster care system can be so horrific for even bright and perfectly healthy children, I can only imagine what the system is like for ones with profound…
And let’s not forget that the estimate for lifelong care of a child born with microcephaly is more than $10 million.
If only fully interrogating those beliefs would change their minds. I know it happens sometimes, but I think the majority of anti-abortionists are so firmly stuck on the “fetuses are BABIES!” idea that nothing can move them. In general, when confronted with information that challenges their beliefs, people double down…
He’s not though. He is pro-death penalty and anti-gun regulation. The only thing he is consistent on is limiting women’s rights.
They never, ever err on the side of life when it comes to the mother either. Her life and ability to thrive is worthless to these people.
Oddly enough, far too many ‘pro life’ politicians fucking LOVE to send the living off to war.
And this jackass has a pretty good chance of maintaining his Senate seat, unless the people of Florida (i.e., those among the most likely to actually have Zika one day affect their lives) wake up and vote against him.
Lots of kids end up in the system with issues like this but they do not get adopted easily. Adoption is very much not the answer to this problem. There would just be a lot more kids in foster care with uncertain futures and no families. :( These assholes never think this far. Note the lack of adopted disabled children…
I’m sure he’s going to make sure that the federal government funds IDEA (the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) at the the level promised when it was passed during the Bush administration. 40% was promised. So far my state is only seeing 18%.
In general they likely can. Many states have laws allowing for a child to be given up while in the hospital with safe harbor laws. That really doesn’t do much for the compassionate abortion situations(what I mean is the argument that some conditions cause such severe suffering that the compassionate thing to do would…
Hmm so you want women who are pregnant with children who will have devastating life long disabilities to continue those pregnancies. Well Marco, have you set aside money to help them get access to the medical care they’ll need, subsidised at home care so that these parents can work, for fucks sake even set aside money…
“Obviously, microcephaly is a terrible prenatal condition that kids are born with,” he said to Politico. “And when they are, it’s a lifetime of difficulties. So I get it.”
It pisses me off beyond words that men like Rubio feel entitled to decide what women must do with not only their bodies, but the very life they’ll lead after their child is born. I’m 5 months pregnant, and I’m positive that if my baby had microcephaly, and abortion were illegal, I would go to some desperate lengths to…
What’s there to be surprised about? He’s an opportunistic leach who always crawls back to the GOP base.
