You are completely right on all counts. However, the ethics of all of this is being litigated in the press, and the people themselves are resigning, no one is making them, they are just bowing to pressure.

This may be an unpopular opinion right now, but it is possible to believe that some people are human, and are flawed. If for example you felt Bill Clinton was a good president, but really a skirt chaser / bad husband / womanizer, that doesn’t really invalidate his presidency, not does it excuse Trump’s behavior.
