I don’t even count some of the ones you listed and I still say it’s too much

No, you’re confusing copyright with trademark. Copyright remains even if you don’t defend against all infringements. It’s only trademarks you have to defend or risk losing them to becoming generic terms. This applies to names, logos, that sort of thing.

I find it hard to take Capcom’s side here. The modders are enhancing the game for a subset of users at no cost to Capcom, with no consequence to the community that doesn’t want the mods. Seems like a win win to just sit back and remain silent.

First of all, these are really really good, top notch mods.

It’s not really “greed”, it’s more like “I have a successful game and would like to keep paying my employees to keep it successful and up and running.”

This happens often whenever a thoughtful and/or humble developer/content creator when they are taken by surprise when their product is really successful...greed takes the helm, sometimes cloaked in the incentive to meet player demand.

I’d buy one for free. I still haven’t found the appeal in paying for digital clothing. I remember when PS Home sold a bunch of “clothes” and people literally paid thousands of dollars for matching sets, etc. Guess where they are now?

Big deal, American politicians have been cosplaying for months now.

American politicians need to learn to have no shame in the correct way.

I thought the same thing at first but it’s really not! Think of it like how real-world sports have standardized field and court sizes, so regardless of where you’re playing the “terrain” is more or less the same, allowing there to be a more uniform setting for the sport.

They asked for us to publish the interview on a specific date, not for us to conduct it on a specific date. We prefer to reserve the right to publish interviews whenever we’d like. And we definitely wouldn’t let an interview subject decide what kind of format we’d use when we published it. Playdek’s PR was insisting

It’s a perception thing, characters meant to be white in animation have square faces and eyes and sometimes big noses.

Symetrical is superior. You can still hit buttons without relinquishing control of the left stick. I can’t understand why people don’t see the advantage of that. The only improvement I’d like is for them to colour / symbol code the right side buttons for those timed quick time event instructions.

Interested, I still prefer symmetrical thumbsticks.

Example A of standard reply to any senran kagura article.

Before the whole comment thread gets out of hand with all sorts of righteous posts, let the people who like senran kagura enjoy the news, including the ones stateside.

[Insert “I can’t wait for this character to be censored in Western release” comment here.]

This article is so on-point, which is sad for many reasons. I can relate all-to-well to having mostly dominant performances in placement matches (8-2, 40+ elims as Winston/Dva/Roadhog in most of them) and I started the season at 1650SR. What? Teamwork and common sense are almost nowhere to be found at that level.

The Bones guy is meant to be pretty much like that...

Love how Shirobako talks about the anime industry, the hardships people in it deal with and the conflicts. And nonetheless the falling side of the industry.
