There is less lactose in cheese and yogurt than in milk and other non-aged dairy products. I know that soft cheeses have more lactose than harder cheeses, as well.

The process of making cheese and yogurt takes the lactose out. Lactose is milk sugar, and the fermentation process literally eats the lactose. Softer cheeses may still have some lactose, but hard, aged cheeses should be lactose-free.
Yogurt and (most) cheeses generally do have lower lactose content, primarily due to the microbes used to make them having already broken some of it down.
