It’s true though. When I kept my name the entire town fell into disarray. There were roaming gangs of feral children attacking seniors. The moose organized themselves and turned against us. It was pure chaos. We had to abandon the place.

“...Allowing different surnames risks destroying social stability, the maintenance of public order and the basis for social welfare.”

It’s small enough that we each have our own unicorn.

I’ve heard of your Rationality Land, sparsely populated I hear.

Many women, however, would consider this transition a mark of progress. And for those who must maintain two names—one professional, one married—repealing the current law would mean no longer living with two separate identities.
