I don’t think this has been about what he said - it’s about the fact that a white guy interrupted a black woman to explain why diversity was important and is now taking credit for people talking about diversity in Hollywood.

I agree with you on the part where we need to stop going way overboard on people that do not articulate their position particularly well, or that seem to be on the right track, but have blind spots or biases that they would do well to learn and grow from. That’s more productive and more human.

Seriously, he just did the “I’m sorry you were offended” non-apology apology? Ugh. Just UGH.
