Terrible. The worst deal I’ve ever seen. 7.0/10
We’re all waiting for godot, man.
The orange box, to me is still one of the single best values ever offered by a publisher. Excellent single player games. Puzzles. Multiplayer. Everything you could ask for. And as a “former” young person who at the time couldn’t afford a pc that could run half life 2 or its episodes this game was a godsend. It’s too…
Not only that, but they really failed to market the mindfuckery the game presents; it’s insanely over the top. I won’t go into more because of spoilers and what-not.
If the NFL crumbles from within because a 49er QB took a knee, I’ll be the smilingest motherfucker on the planet.
Whoa whoa. You’re telling me that white people in charge of young black men and also profit massively from these black men’s talents would change the rules and not say anything? And then use the revised rule as a way of punishing said black men for going against the wishes of their white employers? In America?
I really thought JJ had at the very least righted the ship in terms doing more practical effects and actual locations and set design. Really disappointing to see this one looking more like another cgi heavy blockbuster.
Great insight Gob! This, like the first blade runner, is told from the POV of just a scrub cop. Little people getting pushed around by greater forces.
i thought the sex scene was thematically and narratively essential. K is so lost in his artificial relationship - a relationship with someone who can only provide a facsimile of emotional, human support - that it is in these moments, where he can’t even have sex with a real woman without seeing his holographic waifu,…
Without spoiling anything, I feel like it’s more like 2049 just approaches those themes from a different vector, and scoops a few different conversations out of those waters as it sails past. The characters in 2049 have a very, very different vantage point than anyone in the original Blade Runner did, despite the fact…
There are also few people in the world more qualified to assess Harden’s leadership.
To be fair there are few guys in the world who know as much about being the #2 player on a great team as McHale.
Why is Kevin McHale trying to motivate James Harden?
This is classic baby boomer motivation by McHale. Slyly talk shit and hope that the person you’re slighting takes it to heart.
From the AP article:
Did they? The FBI just labeled BLM an extremist terrorist group - story posted on the Root. And this story we’re commenting on. All while white terrorists kill massive numbers of folk, and never get a terrorist title.
Nobody said they were gifted freedom speech. I said they won freedom of speech.
Our grandparents got German Shepards, fire hoses, state trooper batons, and cop bullets for that “free speech” you speak of. If indeed it existed- NONE of those things happen. And that they happen by the very same folk SWORN to uphold it.. tells me that my original statement stands. It’s an illusion for blacks and…
Others here and elsewhere have stated: the 1st amendment is a sham and it always has been and will be. It’s a tool of the wealthy to own the time and place of discourse and dissent. And it’s granted in small doses to placate the masses until such time as it defies the wealthy too pointedly and is this revoked.
