There’s plenty of “what ifs” to go either way, but having AutoPilot drive the vehicle is probably safer than someone who is so drunk they’re passing out.

FWIW that’s the future of this tech, being able to summon a car that doesn’t have driver input at all. Autopilot isn’t that though, it’s basically SuperCruise control.
