Ugh. Sometimes I wonder if male professors mentor each other and give each other “advice” on how to shop for a young student-mistress.

That is seriously messed up. To be honest, I don’t know what became of the two male professors in my alma mater, but I’m betting that they weren’t even investigated.

I have to say, though, that white Europeans DID invent/accidentally mutate mass lactose tolerance, which in turn led to all the delicious cheeses and dairy products today.

Sadly it’s the male professors who are more likely to sleep with students and ruin the whole “objective” thing. I just heard a rumor that two (male) professors of mine were having affairs with students.

The coolest professor I ever had was a Stats professor who had a tattoo on her ankle. She was awesome—she was just 30 and already had a book out and she was descended from a line of awesome mathematicians and statisticians. Was I fangirling jsut now? Yes.

That image reminded me of this TERRIBLE Harry Potter fanfic where Prof. McGonagall was made into this weak, clueless person who was always fawning over Harry and his assholeness.

To distinguish between gentlemen wives and lady wives, of course!

Oh, probably not. I don’t know how many of the Oscars winners are actually non-heterosexual. I was just trying to include as many minority groups as possible (and I left the trailing dots to signify more groups, haha). But at the very least, Hollywood (if not the Oscars) has a serious queer representation problem.

It’s women like you who are going to be the pioneers, though! I have friends in tech and they’re all amazing.

I think she may indeed be TRYING to say that the system is biased towards white men....but if she truly understood that the non-white-male side didn’t just include (white) women and black men, she would have made a much better statement. I think I would be more on her side if she didn’t have any time to think this…
