Agree. This phrasing seems to be very common now in families formed through adoption.

Same! I’m obsessive about sunscreen on my face. My hands get sunscreen when I’m going to be outside all day but that’s about it. It makes no sense for my hands to be lighter but here we are. 

My hands are actually naturally lighter than my face. I’m not sure if this is due to poor circulation or what. The difference isn’t as much as the photo above but just thought I’d toss it out there that skin is weird and everyone is different.

This surprises me because my experience with Forever 21 is that the clothes are basically disposable and after washing they will never look right again.
