I think what Joe was trying to say is not that he’s never mentioned his race, but rather, that he’s basically been silent on injustice and racial issues and has never talked about what it was like to be black in a majority-white game and to face the bigotry he did, esp. early in his career. And that’s totally true.

Where’s my Cablinasian?  Aww, there he is!

What happens when the lady who has a “hot trigger finger when it comes to her enemies” comes to see non-combatants as “enemies”?

Yeah, that seems really awkward unless the passenger is super tall or something.

Why do I need to justify not chatting to a stranger? And what should I say when I just don’t feel like making small talk? If women in Georgia need to go to another state to obtain an abortion, that sucks and is awful, but at least that’s a relatively easy option

Information is not welcome on The Root. If you wanted to get 200+ stars, you should have written a comment just saying “WTF?? But he was a DRUNK!”

If my parents had tried to force me to cook dinner for them and their guests out of my dorm room after graduation, they would have gotten Easy Mac in the little paper bowl it comes in.

Their son doesn’t need your absolution or “compassion.” He’s dead.

I would watch the film adaptation of this starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

sounds about white

I’m just gonna leave this here.

“I had an abortion when I was young, and it was the best decision I have ever made,” Jamil wrote on Twitter. “Both for me, and for the baby I didn’t want, and wasn’t ready for, emotionally, psychologically and financially.
