It’s not an oversimplification. If you watched the movie, you would know that all of the actors played various characters of different ethnicity, gender and age. It was the film’s central conceit.

I’m giving an honorable mention to Cloud Atlas—which is only left off this list because putting actors in yellow face is something even worse than whitewashing.
