@avclub-739e3ffa1c4e38f56c8c9f19f96095dc:disqus  I envision ghettos filled with failed gimmicks…HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?!?

First they came for the unregistereds, and I said nothing…

I liked it too, although the twist was pretty well telegraphed.  But I think in general the fanbase just always wants it to be a different show than it is.  What I look for is entertainment and a dash of idealism, not some kind of science fiction masterpiece.

Wow, I just wanted to say thanks everyone!  You've totally convinced me to start watching, I needed a new show and this sounds like exactly my thing.  So thank you all!

If it's not your thing, it's not ever going to be your thing.  It's not Mad Men.  But it's a great show for when you feel like shit and just want to watch some colorful cartoon ponies work out all their problems together.  I'm a grown-ass woman and dammit, sometimes you just need someone to tell you something nice.

You're right, it's not up to their usual standards of Glee and Celebrity Apprentice.

Season 1 is streaming on Netflix now, if you want to get into the show.  I just started watching it and it's super fun.

The reason I asked was because the review was such a mindfuck, haha.  I think this episode would probably give me a major case of "whaaat??"  But based on the comments I'm pretty excited to get into this show now!  Sometime after finals, that is…

Maybe I'll check out one of those first, thank you!  Can I ask, what is it you like most about the show?  Or what are its best features?

Oh I like sci-fi in general really, the time travel is a bonus!  The show kind of sounds like one of my all-time favorite shows, Sapphire and Steel, where there's just crazy shit going on and they don't explain it at all?  Reading the review I guessed this was probably not a good gateway episode because I couldn't

I've never seen this show but I love time travel stories, so I am wondering where is the best place to start or an episode that will let me gauge whether I'll be into it?  I remember seeing the promos on Fox for the first season and it looked like another lame X-Files ripoff, but it actually sounds really interesting

I just assumed they had signed a contract with her before they switched investors.  So now they're stuck using her.  But I might just be trying too hard to make this show make sense.

I think that's an old Marlene Dietrich trick.  She still looked the same in her 60s because of all the rubber bands.

Pretty regularly?  Would you believe…occasionally?

I'd watch the fuck out of that.

Honestly, Leo is kind of turning into my favorite.  He's so terrible that it's hilarious.

Ah ok, that makes sense that he might go there on his own to learn more about her.  I thought the episode was implying that he grew up in a whorehouse, which is confusing.

I thought she died giving birth to him?  There was a flashback where that happened in his kitchen.

When they were all chuckling politely around the dinner table… *shiver*

Don Draper can fix my sink any day.
