Yeah just a full WW1 movie and her finding out Ares was behind it at the end, then a second movie where she has to take down Ares by, I dunno, enlisting a bunch of other demigods to help her or something.  That would have worked better.  David Thewlis was so wasted.

The first act was pretty good, the second act where she was doing WW1 things was fucking awesome and probably should’ve been the entire movie (and made me crave, which is rare, a live-action WW1/WW2 superhero team-up movie like early JSA and/or Cap/Namor/Original Torch). That’s the problem with Amazon products though — there are a lot of counterfeit products for sale there. WW probably got a cheap Chinese knockoff rather than the real deal.

Yeah, at the time Carey had such a reputation as a nice guy that it was surprising and fun to see him actually push back “live” during this episode against censorship and show some backbone.

The way this combo aged makes it even better. Carey’s barely hidden disgust that they have to do something as lame as “insurance salesman” was gold, too.

There’s only one thing that can bring us all back together - that sweet, sweet Laurel Canyon Sound. 

This whole thing makes no sense. They found out it’s a lot of older people watching CW so they want to make programs that appeal to older people. But older people were watching the CW because they liked what was on there.

No surprise given the network sale and other cancelations but this really sucks.  The show was great, I loved seeing The Shade on screen, and Brec was fantastic as Stargirl.  Hopefully HBO Max picks this up or something
