I just watched the first episode and I have to say I'm very impressed. Beautiful art, the premise is uniquely awesome, and like you said very little fluff. I've been lurking on this site for many years now and I've got to say that I generally agree with almost everything you say, even more so than any of the Kotaku

This is all good to hear.

I'm sold on the Berserk comparison.

I'm not new to anime, but I merely dabble. For that reason I have high standards, I mean like Akira and Cowboy Bebop and FLCL kind of standards, so I can't stomach HSotD and that kind of garbage. From what I've seen of this, the art style is really cool and the premise is interesting, so I'll give it a shot.

I love the Walking Dead, the TV show is absolute garbage but the comics and the Telltale game were brilliant. Attack on Titan looks pretty interesting, and probably doesn't suffer from the problems the Walking Dead has, unless its full of awful writing and generally unlikable characters.

Yeah! Shooting unarmed people is BADASS

Seriously, when I think of the best fight scenes I've ever seen in movies or TV, this baby is always there poking its head up, reminding me that it's not every day you see a shootout go down like this.

I feel like this is the right place to ask this. What is Attack on Titan and why should I watch it?

Who's that next to Ray Bradbury and the Illustrated Man at 1:43?

no way he was probably drunk.

If you're talking about the bit with the drowning, it's an urban myth.

This has got to be the most accurate representation of my home town to ever appear in a video game.

This is what has been missing from my life, a petty criminal simulator. You earn points from stringing together combos of misdemeanors and minor crimes, from jaywalking, to shoplifting, stealing car stereos and so on. I have really stupid fantasies.

Well shit. I thought you were just being a smartypants. Now my feels are shitty.

And kill hookers, a feature that is sorely missing from most Marvel games.

Thanks for answering a question that no one asked.

Do me a favor and Google image search "molten copper"

Yes, the bullets are hot from the combustion in the chamber and the bullet impact produces heat but you seem to be suggesting that the copper and/or lead enters a molten state, which simply is not true. Pulling out basic facts you learned in your high school physics class doesn't validate the bullshit you're spewing.

The more you type, the more obvious it becomes that you are pulling shit out of your ass. The deformation you see is a result of kinetic energy, not high heat. If heat were deforming the bullets, then it would be called melting.

I was about to post this video to disprove your point. You can clearly see the bullets fragmenting, NOT melting, as they impact the steel plate. Engineering degree or not, you don't know the first thing about terminal ballistics or firearms in general.
